Wandering Reveries

I’ve been pretty busy lately, so I haven’t had much time to post (not that my opinion of this election has changed much in the past several months), but I finally got around to seeing The Campaign last night, and it was hilarious. Discussing this movie with some fellow hacks, it was mentioned that if we could get away with doing some of this stuff we would, and some of it is pretty close to what actually goes on (“Get some American dogs you commie!”). I especially cracked up when Mitzi asked Marty, “When did Tim Wattley become a member of the family?,” (as he sits in the kitchen eating Cheerios), because that really is pretty close to what happens (indeed, I’ve lived in a candidate’s guest house for 7 months).
